“Working at the intersection of physics”
Eva, Production
What is your role at Sennheiser?
I work in Supply Chain in production as a production coordinator and am responsible for the Georg Neumann division at the main plant in Germany. My main task is to place the manufacturing orders so that the employees know exactly what they need to produce and all microphones arrive on time at our distribution partner. I also make sure that the required material is available in the warehouse on time and that all production orders run smoothly.
My team supports the employees in production in all matters. Whether it's problems with materials, processes or other challenges - we are all jointly responsible for ensuring that everything runs seamlessly.
What drives you professionally?
I love the daily variety and versatility of my job. Every day brings new challenges and surprises, and I often don't know what to expect when I arrive at work. I particularly appreciate the collaboration with my colleagues, working together to achieve goals, contributing new ideas and implementing them. Even if it sometimes turns out that not everything works out as planned.
It's important to me to have achieved our weekly targets at the end of the week and to ensure that every single microphone leaves our production line in perfect condition. In addition, the happiness of my employees is very important to me - even if I sometimes stress them out a little.
What fascinates you about the products, the industry?
I am fascinated by the versatility of our products. Numerous small individual parts create an impressive sound and tone that never ceases to amaze me. Even the smallest changes can often work wonders. As we often say, we are working “at the intersection of physics”.
What do you associate with word “Together” in a work context?
I associate the word “Together” with pride and cohesion. I have been part of this wonderful family business for 18 years, where every day is a new challenge and no two days are the same. We are constantly evolving and integrating new ideas into our day-to-day work. Our shared pursuit of the “Future of Audio”, of innovations, solutions and developments for new sound and new acoustics, drives us forward and unites us as a team.
