FAQ

Q: Which EW-DP set is right for me?

Q: How do I access the low-cut feature of the EW-DP SKP?
A: The low-cut feature of the EW-DP SKP can only be accessed via the Sennheiser Smart Assist App, which is available for both Android and iPhone. After you have paired your SKP transmitter with the app, you can find the low-cut feature under the "Audio Link Controls" menu.

Q: Does the EW-DP system use companders?
A: No, the EW-DP system, along with all products in the Evolution Wireless Digital Series, does not use compander technology. Digital wireless modulation schemes permit higher data rates, making companders unnecessary.

Q: Can I pair the EW-DP SKP with EW-D EM or EW-DX EM?
A: The EW-DP SKP is compatible with both the EW-D and EW-DX receivers.

Q: Is the EW-DP compatible with Sennheiser legacy systems like the G3 and G4?
A: The EW-DP system is not designed to work with Sennheiser's legacy analogue systems including the G3 or G4 systems. The digital transmission technology used by the EW-DP system is not cross compatible with analogue systems.

Q: How do I know what EW-DP frequency range is right for me?
A: Understanding your regions regulation around frequency allocation can be complex. Visit the Sennheiser International Frequency Advisor here.

Q: Why does the backup recording on the EW-DP SKP MicroSD card appear to be recorded at a low level?
A: The backup recording feature of the EW-DP SKP comprehensively utilizes the expansive 134dB range that the EW digital series provides. This recording can then be seamlessly incorporated into any digital audio workstation or post-audio software, facilitating the augmentation of file gain to your preferred levels.
