Marc Ciufo Green is a PhD student at the University of York Audio Lab. He is researching the application of spatial audio techniques and machine learning to environmental sound monitoring. Using Sennheiser AMBEO technology, he is developing an AR app that could assist urban planners, researchers and architects in creating more positive acoustic environments for people to live and work in. By placing virtual acoustic sources and sound barriers in real-world scenes, it will be possible to test the impact of potential developments on the sound scene before implementing them in reality.
