Leanne and Naara are a singing-songwriting duo from Manila formed in 2012 with Leanne on the keyboard and Naara on guitar. They have gained notoriety after their debut single, topped the Spotify charts in 2016, ranking #1 in the Philippines, #2 in Singapore, #3 in Malaysia, and #12 in the Global Viral Charts. The two create easy- listening music – oftentimes combining soothing melodies with powerful lyrics and smooth vocal blending. Their musical influences include Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran. Recently the duo have begun to explore a more pop sound with their debut album, Daybreak, which was released in 2020. This transition was inspired by the duo’s trip to Stockholm in October of 2019, where they attended a songwriting camp in Northbound Studios. Two songs from Daybreak, Keeping Me Up and Let Go, are products of the said camp.
