CityUHK, a globally recognized leader in innovation and education, has transformed its classrooms by implementing cutting-edge team-based learning (TBL) environments. These spaces utilize advanced AV technology, including modular furniture, wireless displays, multi-camera systems, and Sennheiser’s TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC 2) microphones, to foster collaboration, communication, and hybrid learning. Sennheiser's TCC 2 microphones were chosen after a rigorous proof-of-concept trial for their superior audio quality, seamless integration with Dante and analog connectivity, and user-friendly management through Control Cockpit software, supported by exceptional service from Sennheiser’s local team. A key innovation was the integration of TCC 2 microphones with PTZ cameras, Crestron controls, and Blustream HDMI switchers to create an in-house voice tracking system, eliminating the need for table microphones and enabling precise audio and video tracking for hybrid sessions. These fully AV-over-IP classrooms have enhanced collaboration and accessibility, equipping students with problem-solving and teamwork skills while positioning CityUHK as a leader in modern, tech-enabled education.
